BEHIND THE MASK

THE NATION’S MOST ELABORATE COSTUME PARTY

Founded in 2008, HighBall Halloween began as a one-night event centered around our signature Battelle Costume Couture Fashion Show, where teams of local designers compete for the top spot and a cash prize. Now a two-night event staged in the fashion-forward Short North Arts District on High Street, HighBall Halloween also includes a street party, live art, electrifying stage performances, and a public costume contest. On Friday, HighBall: On The Rocks is a concert honoring fabulous fashion. On Saturday, HighBall: High Fashion highlights fashion during our Public Costume Contest and Battelle Costume Couture Fashion Show.

HighBall Halloween is an all ages event. At HighBall Halloween we focus on the fantasy and costuming elements of the Halloween season, so the stage performances are not designed to frighten. However, it is a public event and there are many costumes on the streets. It should also be noted that there will be alcohol present at the event. Since our first event 12 years ago, there have always been HighBallers both big and small and we have yet to receive any complaints about appropriateness for children.Children 2 and under get into the event for free. I hope this has helped to inform your decision.

Why is HighBall Halloween 2019 taking place on October 11 & 12?

Since HighBall Halloween will be an indoor/outdoor event this year, we worked with the Greater Columbus Convention Center to choose a weekend that would make for the very best experience for HighBallers both in and outside the Convention Center.
